Angus Konstam's Edinburgh Wargames

New game reports in the Wargames Journal, 27th June Latest site update: 27th June Sale Page updated: 17th March
Welcome to the Edinburgh Wargames Site
As well as writing history books for a living I wargame with historical miniatures. Yup, that’s little toy soldiers to you.
I play regularly at the wargames club here in Edinburgh, the Scottish capital. The South East Scotland Wargame Club may have its share of sad "anoraks" and fantasy-playing weirdoes, but it also has a core of wargamers who play sensible historical stuff!
Wargame Clubs are dangerous places. You go along with good intentions, then someone talks you into gaming something new. Before you know it you’ve got more lead than you know what to do with, and an unpainted lead mountain larger than Ben Nevis! Let me invite you to tour my lead stash, and who knows .. You might be talked into something new as well!
I know taking up Formula One Racing would have been a lot cooler and probably cheaper, but this way I get to drink a beer as I indulge myself.
I keep a Wargames Journal , and it gets updated roughly every two weeks. I plan to add more pages about armies and periods, about campaigns we've been fighting, the rules systems we use, and anything else that you guys might find vaguely interesting. That way you won't miss a game, a new craze, or the latest frothing rant! Please, let me know what you think, what you'd like to see, and suggest ways you'd like the site to develop.
Best Wishes,
Angus Konstam
