Angus Konstam's Edinburgh Wargames
Anglo-Portuguese Peninsular Army

by Barry Hilton
I painted one British unit for this, then abandoned the project for the best part of a year. For some reason it never caught my imagination - and all those white cross-belts and regimental facings seemed really fiddly. It took the prospect of taking part in a large Peninsular War game to spur me on, so I knuckled down and started painting. I've now got the best part of a Division - or at least a small one - and I plan to add to it from time to time so it'll become a real force to be reckoned with.

I modelled it very loosely on the British 2nd Division, as it was when it fought at Bussaco (1810) and Albuera (1811).
