Angus Konstam's Edinburgh Wargames
The Big Peninsular Game
June 2008

This page is little more than a gallery - the pictures are all of the huge Peninsular War game staged by the League of Gentlemen Wargamers in Kirriemuir, Scotland in June 2008. It was staged on three tables - over 350 square feet of playing area - and involved a dozen players, thousands of figures and two days of gaming.
My own contribution was Rowland Hill's British 2nd Division - 250 figures strong - which did sterling work on the first day, defending a river gorge against the faceless hordes of France, and helped protect British right flank on day two. However, the real star of the weekend was the town of Rioja, built from scratch by Charles Grant.
